AbroadLink hires new International Sales & Project Manager

The recent steady growth of international sales has prompted AbroadLink’s management to appoint Kerry-Lynn Martin as International Sales & Project Manager. The appointment is another step in the company’s international marketing strategy. Josh Gambín, Managing Director, explains, “I recognized a need for higher quality translation and localization services based on the needs of the client instead of a low price rate and quick turnover. The recent success of AbroadLink shows that this has been lacking within the industry”. Initially, Ms. Martin will be leading the company’s entry into the American market.

Collaborating closely with clients, Kerry-Lynn will manage projects from the initial quotation until the final delivery. She is responsible for coordinating work between translators, editors, and DTP artists. Kerry-Lynn will be instrumental to ensuring all work goes through AbroadLink’s Quality Assurance procedures.

A lover of diverse cultures, Kerry-Lynn has spent time living and working in Ireland, England, Peru, the United States, and currently lives in Spain. In addition, extensive traveling in Asia and Africa has helped her develop insights into different cultures and ways of life. She understands the importance of approaching markets with well localized materials and the value of quality translations.

Her career experience began as a teacher in multicultural environments before moving into to the public sector. She gained sales and customer services experience working for Oasis stores. She has developed excellent organizational and teamwork skills in a number of administrative positions. Kerry-Lynn has solid management experience and an exemplary performance in the London Borough of Haringey organizing and administrating outsourced and in-house maintenance contracts and work orders. Previous to teaming up with Abroadlink, she managed a company offering translation services and language classes, The British School of Aguilas. “I want to communicate closely with clients and assure them that their projects are in good hands. That is the reason why we are here,” she adds.

Kerry-Lynn Martin has a joint honors B.A. in Theology & Arts, a Higher Diploma in Education, and studied a post-graduate diploma in Business Management.
